Note Card Box Using Sweet Soiree Speciality DSP

Happy New Year, hope you all had a great break. Mine didn’t go to plan with this pesky bug. It seems to not want to leave me, but i’m over the worse of it now. Think the excitement of all the lovely new products in the spring/summer and sale-a-bration catalogue, has helped.

While flicking through the spring/summer catalogue I noticed this cute little box, I’m not sure of the measurements in the catalogue but I thought it would make a great note card set.

It was hard to choose which pattern to use from the Sweet Soiree DSP as there all so nice. It is a speciality DSP so you could get away with making this box from just the DSP, but as i’m a bit OCD and the reverse side didn’t match the outside I went with chopping the DSP instead. (It also means I get to stretch the DSP that little bit more.)

I really love this whole suite which surprised me as i’m not a flower girl, I think it was the cake that drew me in. If only real cake was as easy to make. Lol

Hope you enjoyed that project, I love seeing all your versions of my projects so remember to share and tag me so I can see, or you can share them in my Intatwyne Designs Craft Forum facebook group and i’ll see them in there. Will this box hold 51/2 x 41/4 cards?

Not the 4-1/4″ as its only 4 inches tall by 6″ wide. You could make one side longer so maybe 11″ in stead of 10″ and then score at 4-1/2 and 6-1/2″ instead. That should work I think. Hope that helps let me know how you get on.

What would the increases be for the lid and box if making to hold 5-1/2X 4-1/4 card?

        Thank you
