Christmas Cheer Update!!

As some of you know I took part in the Christmas Cheer challenge earlier in the month, Life has been supper busy and crazy so I haven’t had a chance to share the cards without till now.

My Christmas Cheer Challenge was part of the much bigger event from Stampin’ Up! UK and the aim was to make 10,000 cards over 2 weekends. The first was the ‘Birthday Wishes’ event from 23 – 25 June 2017. Demonstrators across the UK rallied together to hold their own events and produce an astounding 9,493 cards! The success of our ‘Birthday Wishes’ card making weekend meant that Stampin’ Up! decided to double the total card goal to 20,000 cards! (500 Christmas cards just wouldn’t have been enough. Lol)

So on 1st – 3rd December 2017 was the second part of the challenge and i’m super pleased to announce the Christmas Cheer Challenge generated a staggering 17,918. Wow, that means that a spectacular grand total of 27,411 cards! were made and donated and share across the 14 RMHC in the UK.

I am so pleased that I was able to take part in this event and do it at my local RMHC in Camberwell, I had a great team of helpers that came out on the day and they worked so quick we were able to finish all the cards in just over an hour (i’ll have to do less prep next time, lol) and meet my 200 card target. So a big big big thank you to everyone that donated, shared the post, spread the word and helped on the day and to the Ronald McDonald House in Camberwell for letting me use the space and all there help to make it happen. I even made it into the local press which gives the house some coverage too. (click here)
