Crafty Christmas Countdown #10 – Merry Music One Sheet Wonder
- October 25, 2017
I made something similar a year or so ago but never did a video for it but i did post some pic on my blog and pinterest. but I couldn’t find where I put the original template. (I so need help getting organized, Lol). I have been working on this design for a little while because I wanted to use the whole sheet of DSP without there been too many tricky cuts and also not having to need too many products.
Did I ever mention that I love One sheet wonders, Lol this is a great project for you DSP hoarders (we all have that one pack just for stroking), but as there’s 4 sheets of each design chopping one is not as much of a heartbreak especially when you can stretch it out over 24 different items.
I originally was going to use a different DSP but changed at the last minute, and because I made only part of the project on camera before making the rest I had to make a few minor changes. So when you see the pics of the mini milk cartons with different ribbon it’s not because I ran out of black shimmer ribbon, it was a creative choice or its an optical illusion, (which ever you want to believe but there’s some having to go into my next order. Lol) It was however a creative choice to add the extra black 2″ circles to everything as after I really looked at the set it needed the black outline to make it all pop.
I’m naturally drawn to black and white, they’re my favourite colours, so I was drawn to this DSP right away. I wanted to keep the design simple but it would be great with a pop of another colour, maybe something in the brights or the subtles collection so it really catches your eye.
This set went together pretty quick once it had all been cut out and prepped, I think the hardest part was in the cutting. (which isn’t that hard) While I was making it I did think it would be good if you are having craft fairs you could split them up and sell them as groups of six or 6 different sets. You could make a lot of gifts for a co-workers, teacher gifts, Or even a great project to sit down and make on a girls night in.
