This Months Sketch was done by lovely Keren of Tuppence Coloured you may have just come from here blog as she is just before me on the hop.
June is a crazy month full of birthdays and all-sorts of things to sort out. Typical as the new catty just launched, so I haven’t had a lot of playtime. I had a design in my head from April when I first saw this lovely Baby Bear stamp. This sketch was perfect for getting the idea out of my head. I stuck to the basic sketch and used basic gray as my card base and embossed the front with the brick wall embossing folder. I really love that embossing folder, who knew a brick wall could be so much fun. Lol
I then layered some of the neutrals DSP stack onto some Flirty Flamingo cardstock and my background was complete. I used smoky slate and basic gray ink for the baby bear it did take a while to get used to layering the right combo. A bit of advice for this set is to let it set for a while after you stamp it. I wasn’t over happy with the results after stamping it but as it dried completely the colours blended nicely, and i was a much happier bunny. I decided to tie a little bow with the new flirty Flamingo rushed ribbon. I think it makes a cuter bow and then i used the balloon builder stamp to stamp the heart shaped balloon in Flirty Flamingo and masked some of the greeting to have hello baby on the balloon.
As the card is quiet dark I added an insert of thick whisper white with another greeting and a bear head from the baby bear set and the card is complete. It’s a really quick card to put together and you could make it in a range of colours so it’s great for a Girl or Boy. I love the way it came together and the added enamel shapes helped to finish it off.
