I have a bunch of nieces and nephews to make Easter treats for as i’m bored of giving chocolate eggs. I got alot of little sweets and mini eggs for a treat bags but wasn’t sure how to present them. I wanted it to be something special for them to add to the surprise.
When I first joined Stampin’ Up! I made Sams hexagonal box and i’ve had it on my shelf every since just looking pretty. While looking around my craft room it caught my eye and when i stuffed everything in, it was a perfect size and doesn’t take much supplies. I used 5 sheets of 12×12 as you get 2 from one sheet and then just scrap bits for the tags.
The original one I made didn’t have a tag on it and as it was for Easter I wanted to have that on there somewhere. It was hard because the center of the box is a pointed corner, hmmm, then I had a brainwave while looking through my punches and decided to make a hanging tag instead so i don’t need to worry about attaching something to the box. Note tag punch is a great size and you can make loads so quick.
For the tags I used 3 stamp sets, the Easter Lamb, Honeycomb Happiness and the Teeny tiny sentiments for the happy easter. The images were too big to have all of them on it but I think just a head makes it look cuter, and I decided to stamp them in the matching colours and leave them uncoloured as it added to the cuteness. I finally unpacked my in colour ribbons as well, I knew its a sin as they are so nice to work with.
If you want to make these check out sams tutourial below.
See how easy they are, everything came together really quick and easy, but knowing my rugrats they will probably destroy the boxes just for the goodies inside but at least I got some pic of them first. lol
