This weeks sketch was done by Justyna, a very cute sketch indeed.

I’ve been having a nightmare few weeks as I damaged a tendon in my right arm from cleaning and re-arranging my craft room. (Note to self rearranging craft room is hazardous to health) but its meant crafting has been too painful and I’ve had to rest it. It’s still not 100% but I’d rather take the bit of pain now then spend more days not crafting (think its safer for the family too. Lol)

So for this challenge I kept it really simple, I used the love blossom dsp stack and the sheet i chose was just crumb cake and whisper white so i stuck with them for the card. I pretty much kept to the sketch apart from the fact I flipped it and re-arranged the flowers slightly.

I decided to go with the thank you sentiment from the A whole lot of lovely stamp set. I think this is my favourite stamp set of all because it’s so versatile and one of the stamps can always be used for something. But I also wanted something that worked with the Love blossom dsp and the little flowers worked well enough for me. I used the circles collection die set to cut the sentiment then the 2 ½” punch because I wanted just a slight border of crumb cake.

I used the itty bitty flower punch for the flowers, You’ve gotta have a rhinestone center and although you cant see in the pic I added some wink of stella to them and a few of the flowers on the dsp for that slight twinkle. I also inked the edges of the dsp in crumb cake as I found the white was too bright. I really wished this suite had been very vanilla instead of white, It would have been so much nicer as the vanilla is softer, oh well maybe next catalogue.

I’m pleased with how it came together and im loving the simplicity of it. I’m now seeing other colour combos and dsp stacks that I could use to make it even better, so it’s been a great sketch to work with. Make sure you check out the rest of the hop. I’m excited to see what everyone else has made this week.
