This weeks sketch was done by the tricky Hannah. I say tricky because her sketch had us all double taking as she gave us a blank canvas which im not sure is a good or bad thing. But that’s why she been called tricky Hannah this week.

So i’m gonna confess to being slightly obsessed with One sheet wondersat the moment, I never heard of them until recently and i’m amazed at how far you can stretch one piece of 12×12″ DSP. (I even surprised myself a few times). So I thought Blank canvas and one sheet wonder was a must. I had to use my favourite DSP pack at the moment which is the “its my party” along with the Party wishes stamp set and heres what I came up with.

So altogether I managed to get:

  • 6 x Note Cards
  • 6 x 3×3 Cards
  • 6 x Gift Tags
  • 6 x Mini Milk Cartons

There was a teeny tiny bit of scrap left over but not enough to inspire something, (still working on one that will use the whole sheet.) I thought it was quite an impressive amount from one sheet of 12×12″, 6 note cards and envelopes, 6 sheets of card stock plus extra 3/4 sheets for the matting and stamping. I made It with 4 different colours so if you didn’t want so many colours it could be made with less cardstock. I also only used 2 stamped images, I had gift sets/craft fairs in mind so I wanted to keep it really simple so you could make loads at one time if you wanted.

The mini milk cartons are a project from my upline, Sam of she posted a video for it a few weeks back, I think there really cute. I love milk carton boxes anyway but the size of theses are really adorable. There measure 1 1/2″ square so they would be great for holding a single ferrero rochers, and would make cute little wedding favors or baby shower gifts. They’re held closed with a mini silver peg and a small bow I stuck it on for added decoration in the matching ribbon. I also used the cute its my party enamel dots

I love that one sheet wonders make a great use of DSP. Im always scared of chopping into it as I don’t want to waste it, Like many crafters out there but then were stuck with too much of it taking up space we don’t have. But at least if I know i’m making a project like this I don’t feel as bad using it, in fact it makes me want to use it more.

I hope you enjoyed this project, I had alot of fun making it and i hope that it’s inspired you to want to try a one sheet wonder for yourselves. Don’t forget to continue on the hop to see what the other talented ladies have gotten up too. Im intrested to see what everyones done with there blank canvas.
