d'vanté birthday blooms design

Ok so i’m super excited to show my project, I was doing some crafting with my daughter and her design was the inspiration behind this project. (I think she has my eye for design, lol) this was her design and from this I decided to give my own one sheet wonder design a go. I know I did a one sheet wonder for the sale-a-bration blog hop, but that design was based on another demos template, I loved it so much I think one sheet wonders are my new favourite thing. But this time its all my own creation.

I’m really proud of how much I got out of one sheet of DSP, and I’m please to say I used every little piece, so out of one 12×12 I managed to make, drum roll…… 11 cards, 1 treat box and 3 gift tags. I even went out of the box for me and used bermuda bay card stock and smokey slate which aren’t colours in the papers but i think they work really well, I used the birthday blooms stamp set and tried to use as much of it as I could to show off all it has to offer. I really love this stamp set and I can see it getting alot of mileage, just for the rose stamp alone, I love the way it looks tone on tone, but also how crisp it looks on whisper white.

The new pool party ribbon is just so gorgeous it would have been a sin not to use it, surprisingly its soft and flexable and not stiff which i thought it would be, just proves somethings are different in the flesh. I wanted to make that the main bling/luxury on the card so really refrained from adding rhinestones. (It was so hard for me) I didn’t want the envelopes to be just plain so I stamped on them as well to match each card.

For the gift tags I used the lots of label die which I cut out and stamped then lined up the dsp against the bottom edge and then cut the rest of the tag and rounded the edges, so really quick and easy to do. For the gift box I use a A4 piece of card stock and based the measurements around the squares of DSP, I surprised myself with the size it came out you can fit loads of chocolate or treats in it, plus it has some really nice curves on it which you can’t really see in the pics but i’ll do some close up shots on another post next week then so you can see everything in closer detail, theres alot to try and squash into a few pics.

Anyway I hope you like the project as much as I loved making it, I really did have fun and I was so supper pleased with how it all came out, especially as its my first one sheet wonder and I loved the fact it was done out of inspiration from my bubba’s design. Think I need to craft with her more. lol.
